As part of MasterCard Memorial Cup week in Red Deer, one of the national sponsors, Sherwin-Williams, wanted to give back to the community. And give back they did!
Our friends at Sherwin-Williams facilitated the repainting of Aspire's exterior railing, the metal spindles on the foyer stairs, and the train in front of the building. Additionally, several children's bedrooms (in their homes) received a fresh coat of Sherwin-Williams paint applied by a few local paint companies that generously donated their time to this endeavour.
The Sherwin-Williams volunteers did a wonderful job at brightening up both the inside and outside of our building. The curb out front is so bright, it jumps out at you.
To celebrate this community spirit, Sherwin-Williams hosted a Paint the Community BBQ at Aspire on May 25th. An enthusiastic thank you goes out to Sherwin-Williams and CHL representatives who organized and executed the event. The highlights of the day included the Memorial Cup right here at Aspire, and CHL alumni and Woolly Bully from the Red Deer Rebels who were available for photographs and autographs. We had approximately 300 guests for lunch in our parking lot!
Great relationships were formed, and this is what leads to something bigger in this community, and across this country. All of this was initiated because of a grateful parent, Drew Letwin. Thank you Sherwin-Williams, and Drew!
