Park IT,our outdoor summer playgroup for children with special needs and their families, has wrapped up with the final Park IT date on August 26th. We are proud to say that with the move to two days a week, this year's Park IT program was a huge hit with families!

Aspire would like to send our thanks to Piper Creek Optimist Club! Members of the well-known service group stopped by for a cheque presentation and a tour of our Centre a few weeks ago. There were smiles all around as this longtime benefactor of Aspire Special Needs Resource Centre made a generous contribution of $7,000 towards a new SMARTBoard.
The Red Deer Chapter of the Learning Disabilities Association of Alberta is accepting applications to their upcoming THINK SOCIAL program. The primary goal of the program is to assist students in acquiring social competencies that foster and enhance relationships.
Only Women's Fitness has given the gift of hope by raising over $12,000 for Aspire Special Needs Resource Centre! We were thrilled to welcome team members from Only Women’s Fitness to our centre on November 19th for a cheque presentation and a tour.
Aspire is excited to have received a recent donation that will ensure the continuation of a very popular summer program. TransCanada Corporation has provided funding for Aspire's ParkIt program. Funds will also enable Aspire to purchase a new computer and materials for our Resource Library.
Aspire would like to thank the Red Deer Firefighters Children's Charity for their continued support once again! In June, this group presented Aspire with a generous gift of $ 5278.52 to underwrite the cost of a Hi/Lo bed for our EASE Preschool program.
Aspire Special Needs Resource Centre is happy to be included on the list of organizations in Central Alberta to have received assistance from the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation. The foundation's recent donation of $4,007 will be quickly put to use in order to purchase a SMARTboard whiteboard system for our adapted EASE preschool program.
