Assessments provide information about your child’s strengths and areas for growth, creating opportunities for others to understand their development. These services are available for children and youth aged 18 months to 17 years. These services are eligible for coverage with many health plans. Aspire is able to direct bill some insurance providers.

During a Diagnostic Clinic, a team of 2-3 therapists work with your child to assess skills in more than one area of development. This therapy team includes a child psychologist, speech-language pathologist and/or occupational therapist. For some children, a diagnosis (such as a Learning Disability, AD/HD or Autism Spectrum Disorder) is provided during a clinic. Diagnostic clinics are typically two half days, or one full day.

Psychologists assess when a child has learning challenges. This can include how your child learns in specific areas such as math or reading, or their ability to learn overall.

Physical therapists assess when a child has gross motor challenges such as crawling, standing, walking, jumping and balance.

Speech-Language Pathologists assess when a child has speech or language concerns.

Occupational therapists assess when a child has sensory, fine motor, or self-help concerns.
