We recognize that each situation is unique.

Sometimes a family wants more support at home or in their community program. Also, school programs may require assessment or intervention services to support a child in their classroom. Our Consultation & Therapy Services allow you to design your own program by choosing from any of the services offered.

What does a Psychologist do?

Psychologists at Aspire are highly qualified and experienced in the assessment and treatment of children 18 months to 12 years of age.  Our psychologists will partner with you to determine your child’s strengths and abilities and support you by suggesting appropriate strategies and therapy to ensure your child needs are met.

Consultation Services:

The Psychologist will work with parents, caregivers and educators to provide information and assistance with supporting a child’s developmental, behavioural and emotional needs. Our Psychologist will recommend strategies that are based on your child’s developmental abilities; family and/or school identified needs, the resources available; as well established practices.

Therapy Services:

Our Psychological Therapy services address concerns directly with your child. Our therapists will provide direct intervention to your child on a regular basis. Therapeutic treatment is more intensive than consultation. Treatment plans are based on your child’s developmental abilities, family-identified needs, and the resources in the home or community setting; as well as established practices.

Treatment might include:

  • developing a child’s ability to make choices
  • developing a child’s coping skills
  • developing social skills

Assessment Services:

Psychological assessment services are available to provide information about your child’s skills and abilities. For more information about our assessment services please click here

For children who:

  • Are 12 months to 17 years old
  • Live in Canada

Attendees:

  • A parent or a primary caregiver must attend the appointment with your child

Program hours:

  • Consultations and therapy are booked Monday through Friday 9:00am-4:30pm.  Some evening appointments are available.
  • Consultations are typically 1 hour in length.

Professional:

  • Psychologists with expertise in child development, learning, and behaviour

Consultation and/or Therapy Fee:

  • $175.00/hr.
  • This program is a full fee service
  • Fee assistance is not available for this service

Apply for Psychological Services:

An application fee is required when registering for any program offered at Aspire. Once your application and payment are received you will be placed on our waitlist for services. Your application fee can be paid in person, over the phone, or by e-transfer. Application fees paid by e-transfer can be sent to [email protected] Please ensure that you provide us with your name, child's name, and the reason for the e-transfer in the notes section of your e-transfer.
